Meet Meg Nicol, the visionary behind Horses4health, an organisation that provides specialist sessions in Equine Assisted Learning and Mental Health Services.
Meg’s passions, expertise and life experience have combined to produce a nurturing, supportive and science based, healing alternative to traditional forms of therapy. In a world where we are striving to do more, be more, and know more, Meg provides a safe space where people can learn to simply ‘be’, returning to the natural rhythms of mind and bodyand heart, through connections with animals, community and the environment.
Meg’s organisation is the culmination of all of her passions and her non-judgemental and nurturing touch is what sets her apart. Meg respects each individual as they and show up and aims to support clients in their endeavours to be the best they can be. Providing a welcoming, safe and supportive space where getting back to nature is the first step to healing.
Meg draws on her training, personal experiences, academic knowledge and intuition to refine her professional style while staying true to her personal values and philosophies. Meg's practice is informed by theories on trauma, attachment, somatic experiencing, neurobiology, poly vagal theory, strengths, biophilia, CBT, Gestalt therapy, solutions focused therapy, emotions based therapy and Internal Family Systems; a list that is continutually expanding through professional development and experiences.

Bachelor of Primary Education.

Bachelor of Human Services (specialising in Child and Family Studies).

Equine Assisted Mental Health Practitioner.
Meg completed her Equine Assisted Therapy training with the highly regarded Jane Faulkner at Equine Assisted Therapy Australia, the only Registered Training Organisation of its kind in Australia. Meg is a practitioner who believes in the power of community and holds a particular interest in working with children, which has been her lifelong passion, working in various settings including Not For Profit Organisations, private practice and school groups aged from Kindergarten to year 12.
